Perhaps equally important is the element of natural beauty that stimulates contemplation and reflection. This element is derived from a sensative combination of multiple design skills including spacial efficiency and organization, recognition of natural features and resources, long-term aesthetic quality that generates pride and encourages a desire to return. Good cemetery design should also result in efficient management and ultimate sustainability.
