Mr. Bentley is responsible for the day-to-day direction of the organizational plans and policies of Bentley Koepke Inc., maintaining the firm as a leader in site design and land management. He also serves as project landscape architect and designer directing the firm's staff to achieve project goals and objectives.
Mr. Bentley has over 30 years of diverse experience in the creative execution of worlds fairs, state and county parks, natural resource plans, riverfronts, historic preservation and large-scale institutional and commercial projects. His green space studies include the 18-square mile rural community of Indian Hill, Ohio, for which he prepared the planning and management strategy for 2,200 acres of dedicated open space. His work on worlds fairs includes the New Jersey Pavilion at the 1964 New York Worlds Fair in Flushing Meadows. While working in Toronto for Sasaki Strong Associates, Mr. Bentley was project manager of LaRonde, the permanent portion of Expo '67 in Montreal. His responsibilities included detailed site design and construction administration.
His recent work as Project landscape architect includes Hoffner Park, Cincinnati, Ohio: Assertive new image and function for a Northside urban park. Mehring Way/Pete Rose Way, Cincinnati, Ohio: New high image boulevard-scale streetscape. Ridgeleigh Terrace, Kettering, Ohio: An historic reconstruction of the Kettering Family estate into a regional conference center. The original home was lost to fire. Procter & Gamble World Headquarters, Cincinnati, Ohio: An award winning two block formal garden with pedestrian and vehicular linkage to adjacent circulation, lawn parterre, English gardens and wisteria pergola Piatt Park, Cincinnati, Ohio: On historic Garfield Place. A key city park redeveloped as an important catalyst for residential and commercial redevelopment. Eggleston Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio: Old industrial street rehabbed as new Boulevard link between Bicentennial Commons and Central Parkway.
