Responsibilities: Mr. Cody has participated in all  phases for various  projects.  His responsibilities include schematic design, design development, construction document generation and construction administration.  He has managed projects seeking zoning approval and has coordinated production on projects varying in scope and size.

Experience:

John's diverse portfolio includes master planning and design services for community parks, athletic complexes, campus design and implementation for universities and primary and secondary schools, submittal and approval for planning and zoning commercial and residential projects, green roof systems for residential developments and entry feature design.  He has been involved from the schematic design phase through construction observation.  His educational background allows him to find solutions that are environmentally sensitive and economically viable.  John's goal is to create exciting designs that exceed the client's vision and expectation.

His recent work includes:

  • Shelby Park, Louisville, Kentucky: Restoration of Olmsted Brothers' 16 acre neighborhood park.  John produced and managed the construction documents for the Phase I installation for the park.
  • Grand Valley, Village of Indian Hill, Ohio: Reclamation of a 305 acre abandoned gravel pit.  John worked closely with the design team to produce the graphics and phasing strategy for the project, including providing an opinion of probable construction costs associated with the project.
  • Harbor Greene, Bellevue, Kentucky:  Assisted with the design and produced the construction drawings for a new residential development that included a plaza incorporating a green roof system over the new parking garage, a  pool deck,  a motor court at the main entrance and associated plantings for the main entry drive to the complex.
  • Marburg Square, Oakley, Ohio: Assisted with the design and produced the construction drawings for a new residential development.  The project  is an infill development that include two city blocks.  The project incorporates a plaza design with a green roof system over the new parking garage,  buffer plantings per conditions outlined in the zoning approval, and new trellises.
  • F & W Building, Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio: Provided design sketches for the main entry plaza at the front of the building, a new plaza in the parking lot and the reorganization of the main vehicular entrance to the site.
